A smile from you can change a life
but cries from another can drown that shine.
Onward you go to wipe the eyes
of a beautiful girl, too scared to fly.
Endless water draining down her face
for her heartbeat is now not a steady pace.
The one she loves has vanished so fast
she doesn’t even want her life to last.
Convinced by her tears, she cannot see
that she can be better; just believe.
She picks up her chin off the floor
and realizes that she needs to cry no more.
